General
What is Calora?
Calora is a mobile-first calorie tracking app. You log meals with text, photos, or barcodes, then review weekly nutrition, weight, water, fasting, and optional coach sharing from the same account.
General
Do I track meals on the website or in the app?
Day-to-day logging lives in the iOS and Android apps. The website covers product information, pricing, legal pages, downloads, and coach-facing share links.
General
Who is Calora for?
People who want faster food logging, coaches who need a read-only progress view, and anyone building a repeatable nutrition habit rather than a one-day perfect log.
General
Is Calora medical advice?
No. Estimates, coach replies, and articles are educational product context. They are not a diagnosis, prescription, or a substitute for a clinician or registered dietitian.
Calorie tracking
How are calories estimated?
Packaged foods can come from barcode lookup. Typed meals and photos use AI-assisted parsing that you review before saving. You can edit portions, swap foods, or log a custom item.
Calorie tracking
Does photo logging save automatically?
No. A photo produces an estimate you can correct. Nothing is written to the diary until you confirm the entry.
Calorie tracking
Can I track protein, carbs, and fat?
Yes. Entries store macronutrients alongside calories. Weekly views summarize how those totals moved, which is more useful than staring at a single meal.
Calorie tracking
Can I save foods and recipes I cook often?
Yes. Custom foods and recipes keep repeat meals out of a fresh search. Recipe totals roll up from ingredients so you are not retyping the same stew.
Calorie tracking
Can I copy a meal to another day?
Yes. Copy-meal can target another date or a short list of dates, optionally limited to one meal slot such as lunch.
Calorie tracking
Does Calora include intermittent fasting?
Yes. The app includes a fasting timer with common schedules such as 16:8 and custom windows. Fasting is optional and sits next to your food log, not instead of it.
Subscription
What is free and what is Premium?
Core logging is available on the free plan. Premium raises or removes caps such as the daily AI Coach allowance. Exact limits can change and are shown in the app before you subscribe.
Subscription
How do I manage or cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions purchased on iOS or Android are managed in the App Store or Google Play subscription settings for the same Apple or Google account. Calora cannot cancel a store subscription from the website.
Subscription
I paid but Premium is missing. What now?
Open the app while signed into the same store account and use Restore purchases. If it still fails, contact support with the store receipt and the email on your Calora account.
Subscription
Who handles refunds?
Apple and Google process refunds for store purchases. Start from the receipt in App Store or Play Store purchase history. We can help identify the account, but we do not issue store refunds ourselves.
Subscription
Does one subscription cover a family or group?
A subscription applies to the Calora account that purchased it. Family and group features share selected progress, not a single paid entitlement across every member.
Technical
Which devices are supported?
Calora ships on current iOS and Android versions distributed through the App Store and Google Play. The marketing site is a normal browser page and is not the logging client.
Technical
Does my log sync across devices?
Yes, when you are signed into the same account and online. The app can queue some changes offline and send them when the connection returns.
Technical
Why did reminders stop?
Check that notifications are allowed for Calora in system settings and that the reminder is still enabled inside the app. Focus modes and battery restrictions can also silence them.
Technical
I cannot sign in. What should I try?
Confirm the email, request a fresh sign-in link or reset if you use a password, and check spam folders. If the account was created with Apple or Google, use that same provider.
Privacy
Can I export my data?
Yes. The app includes an export flow for your logged data. Exports are generated for the signed-in account and should be stored somewhere you control.
Privacy
How do I delete my account?
Use the in-app account deletion flow or the public delete-account page to start a request. Deletion removes the Calora account and associated logs, subject to short backups and records we must keep for legal reasons.
Privacy
What can a coach see?
Only what a read-only share link includes, such as summary progress. Coaches do not get your password, billing details, or the ability to edit entries.
Privacy
Can I access, correct, or object to processing?
Yes. Profile and diary edits cover most corrections. For access, restriction, or objection requests, email the contact address from the privacy policy and we will verify the account before acting.
Privacy
How is the connection protected?
The apps and website talk to the API over HTTPS. See the security page for how sessions, deletion, and subprocessors are handled.
